Hi! I'm Pergentino Araujo, known as PG.

Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Brasilia and an Assistant Professor at University Center IESB, both in Brasilia, Brazil. I received my M.Sc. degree (2009) from the Center for Advanced Studies and Systems in Recife, Brazil, using large-scale solutions and parallel computing to extract data using web crawlers to apply on a rich web application. I received my B.Sc. degree in Information Systems (2005) from UNIFIP.

My Ph.D. research was focused on a resilient agent-based architecture for efficient usage of unreliable transient resources* in cloud computing. As my research results, the MULTS and BRA2Cloud projects are available to run tasks and increase reliability, decreasing time and costs from a cloud user perspective.

I am passionate about Software Development/Architecture, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and all related subjects. Teaching is a passion that I have been practicing for more than 10 years.   • MULTS - A Multi-cloud Fault-Tolerant Architecture for Transient Servers - A lightweight fault-tolerant architecture to dynamic managing untrusted virtual machines in a multi-cloud scenario, enabling a new breed of trust services where users no longer know which cloud provider is being used to run their applications in a transparent way.

  • BRA2Cloud - A Brand new Resilient Agent-based Architecture for Cloud computing - This project investigates the application of agent-based architectures to create a resilient environment using unreliable transient servers to run applications using Cloud Computing idle resources. Exploring idle resources is an efficient way to save energy and money (e.g., reuse unused CPU and memory to provide services and run applications).
